There is only one way to cook great food:

Love what you do and care about your fellow human being.

it's that simple.

after 14+ years of career as a professional chef in NYC, i have a few things straight:
Offering first quality food doesn't mean it has to be expensive, it means being honest with you and your costumers, it involves putting your heart on the line and abusing your common sense.
i love what i do & only offer food that I eat and enjoy.
my family is my strength, they are the most valuable thing in my life.

I care about you,
YOU ARE family.

Alvaro

"Chef Alvaro Medina of Toby's Public House in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn uses black garlic to top his smoked pancetta pizza, which also features crimini mushrooms, mozzarella, and Parmigiano. The taste combination is a knockout—the sweet, vinegary flavor of the garlic plays against the smoky, salty meat—it essentially blows your mind."

"Alvaro Medina crafted our pizzas. Taking pride in his work (and rightfully so) he treats each and every pie like a work of art. Gently pressing the dough out and strategically placing the sauce and cheese, Alvaro constructed not one, but two masterpieces for my table."

"BEST HEALTHY FOOD TRUCKS ACROSS THE COUNTRY

If you are craving a healthy pizza, you have to check out the Truck Pizza, which is known for their freshly-made brick oven Neapolitan pizza and homemade San Marzano tomato sauce. Truck Pizza is affordably priced, as well. You will find owner Alvaro Medina and his truck during the summer at Food Trucks and Kiosks at 3FortySeven, which was designed by architect Michael Davis."

BON APPETIT MAGAZINE

"A Bumper Crop Feast in New York's Hudson Valley. 10 Hudson Takeaways. Take a slice of wood-fired Truck Pizza from the window of a panel van..."

"This pizza is absolutely amazing.... Thin, crunchy just the right amount, tasty, delicate yet flavorful, and with a wood fired char. It's really just delicious and it melts in your mouth... I'm Italian and a big pizza snob, so believe me when I say this is one of the best pizzas I've had in the US and rivals some pizzas I've had in Italy."

One word: WOW If you are in the city and you don't try this place you have missed out! We tried most of the pizzas on the menu during our 4 day stay. I don't have a favorite because they were all amazing!
